Tottenham 'keen to sign Insigne on a free transfer'

Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne on a free transfer, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping a close eye on Lorenzo Insigne's situation at Napoli in the hope of signing the attacker on a free transfer next summer.

The 30-year-old, who played an important role in Italy's Euro 2020 success, has still not signed a new deal in Naples, meaning that, as it stands, he will be a free agent next June.

A number of clubs are thought to be tracking any developments surrounding the forward, and according to Corriere dello Sport, Spurs are hoping to sign him at the end of his contract.

Everton and Inter Milan are also believed to be monitoring the situation, as Napoli could struggle to hand Insigne the deal that he wants due to the club's financial problems.

The Italian has scored 109 goals and registered 85 assists in 397 appearances for his Italian side over the last 11 years.

Last term, Insigne scored 19 times and provided 11 assists in 48 outings in all competitions, including 19 goals and seven assists in 35 appearances in Serie A.
