Adilson Cabral leaves Sunderland by mutual consent.

Sunderland have parted company with defender Adilson Cabral by mutual consent.

The defender, who joined the Wearside club a year-and-a-half ago from Basel, made just one appearance for them - a 1-0 loss to Fulham on the opening day of the 2013-14 season.

The 26-year-old joined Genoa on loan last January and has been unable to force his way back into the Sunderland team since returning to the club in the summer.
