Tranmere Rovers boss Ronnie Moore is confident of signing another striker before the start of the league season.

Tranmere Rovers boss Ronnie Moore has revealed that he wants to sign another striker before the start of the league season.

The club have already completed the signing of Ryan Lowe this summer, but Moore is hopeful of securing another deal on Monday.

"We're hoping to do a bit of business with a striker on Monday, we're a long way down the line with that one," Moore told PA.

"I'd rather have too many strikers than too few like we had last year. It might be that we end up with five, we want to make sure we don't get caught like we did last season."

Tranmere finished 11th in League One last season.
