Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Copa del Rey fixtures, including Poblense vs. Villarreal.

Villamuriel vs. Rayo Vallecano (Tuesday, 6.00pm)

Rayo Vallecano will be bidding to book their spot in the second round of the 2024-25 Copa del Rey when they tackle sixth-tier outfit Villamuriel on Tuesday night.

The visitors will enter the contest off the back of a 1-0 win over Alaves on Saturday, with the result moving them up into ninth spot in the La Liga table, while Villamuriel recorded a 5-0 victory over Rayo Abulense in Spain's sixth tier last time out.

We say: Villamuriel 0-3 Rayo Vallecano

Rayo will rest a number of key players on Tuesday, but we are finding it incredibly difficult to predict anything other than a comfortable success for the La Liga outfit, who should have far too much quality all over the pitch.

Compostela vs. Alaves (Tuesday, 6.00pm)

La Liga strugglers Alaves will be aiming to book their spot in the second round of the 2024-25 Copa del Rey when they make the trip to fourth-tier outfit Compostela on Tuesday night.

Alaves will enter the match off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano, which left them 16th in the La Liga table, while Compostela drew 0-0 with Real Aviles on Saturday in the Segunda RFEF.

We say: Compostela 0-2 Alaves

Alaves were beaten by a fourth-tier side at this stage of the 2019-20 competition, but we are struggling to see a defeat for the La Liga outfit here, even taking into consideration their struggles in Spain's top flight.

Astur vs. Valladolid (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Real Valladolid will be aiming to avoid a shock first-round elimination in the Copa del Rey when they tackle sixth-tier outfit Astur on Tuesday night.

The visitors will enter the match off the back of a 2-1 home defeat to Villarreal, which left them in 19th spot in the La Liga table, while Astur drew 3-3 with Union Comercial in the sixth tier on Saturday.

We say: Astur 0-2 Real Valladolid

Astur are not used to losing football matches at the moment, while Real Valladolid are finding it difficult to pick up positive results. It could be a close match in terms of the scoreline on Tuesday night, but we would be stunned if Real Valladolid were not the team progressing to the second round when the game is completed.

Villarreal will be aiming to book their spot in the second round of the 2024-25 Copa del Rey when they take on tackle fifth-tier outfit Poblense in the first round of the competition on Tuesday night.

The Yellow Submarine will enter the match off the back of a 2-1 success over Real Valladolid, with the result moving them into third spot in the La Liga table, while Poblense beat Portmany 2-1 in the fifth tier on Saturday.

We say: Poblense 0-4 Villarreal

Villarreal have been full of goals this season and that should again be the case on Tuesday night. Yellow Submarine head coach Marcelino will rest a number of important players, but the La Liga side should have far too much quality for their opponents.
