Marcelino unhappy with draw

Villarreal boss Marcelino bemoans his team's inability to collect all three points from their home La Liga match against Eibar at the weekend.

Villarreal boss Marcelino has admitted that he was disappointed with his team's 1-1 draw at home to Eibar in La Liga.

Victory for the Yellow Submarine would have moved them clear of Celta Vigo in fourth position, but the hosts could only draw against an Eibar side that have been the surprise package in Spain this season.

Marcelino has claimed that dropped points at home "leaves a bad taste" and has bemoaned his team's inability to "exploit" Eibar's weaknesses.

"The feeling of the draw is not a good one. If you don't win at home, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth and we're sad about not winning," Marcelino told reporters. "It was a good opportunity for us as we we're playing at home and [Saturday's] results [went our way].

"We especially lacked organisation in defence. We went out to exploit their style of play, but they caused us problems in return. Their goal came from a moment of doubt and lack of coordination on our part."

Marcelino, 50, signed a new long-term contract with Villarreal last week.
