Report: Ryan Giggs interviewed for Wales manager's job

A report claims that Ryan Giggs has been interviewed by the Football Association of Wales, as they step up their search for a new manager.

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has been interviewed for the vacant Wales job, according to a report.

The 44-year-old, yet to hold down a permanent managerial position since retiring in 2014, is understood to be one of three names in the frame to succeed Chris Coleman.

Football Association of Wales chiefs are also keen to speak to 78-cap former international Craig Bellamy, while Coleman's right-hand man Osian Roberts is an outside choice.

Giggs is the first person to be formally spoken to, however, with the Daily Mail claiming that talks took place on Friday morning.

Former United winger Giggs recently declared his interest in the position, which became vacant in November when Coleman opted to step aside to return to club management with Sunderland.

Wales, back in action in March, hope to have a new manager in place before the end of the month.
