Chris Brunt has revealed that he is hoping to return during West Bromwich Albion's Premier League encounter with Southampton at the weekend.
The midfielder has not featured for the Baggies since he damaged his hamstring in late September.
However, he made a comeback appearance during the development squad's match against Reading last night.
"Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong this week and hopefully I'll be fit enough to face Southampton," Brunt told the Express & Star.
"I'll have to get another few days training to be involved in some shape or form. It's down to the gaffer and what he thinks from this week's training, but it would be nice to get involved again."
Brunt played 61 minutes in the fixture against the Royals.
