West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke admits that his plans for the next match against Liverpool have been hampered by the international break.

Steve Clarke has expressed his unhappiness at the fact that he has lost a number of his West Bromwich Albion players to their national teams this week.

The Baggies are currently on a run of form that has seen them lose five out of their last six matches in the Premier League.

As a result, Clarke has conceded that he would liked to have had the entire week leading up to Monday night's game with Liverpool to work on some tactics with his squad.

"I can't relax as we're in a bad run. We're not winning games," he said. "Earlier in the season it was nice and easy. At the moment it's a difficult time for us.

"Unfortunately, instead of having a week or a few days to work with the players before the next game, the vast majority have gone away on international duty.

"So, we'll have a couple of days where we shut down and try to clear our heads."

Clarke's team are currently ninth in the table.
