Sam Allardyce wants West Ham United contract dealt with swiftly

Sam Allardyce calls on West Ham United's owners to sort out his contract situation swiftly should they qualify for a place in the Europa League.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has called on the owners to sort out his contract situation quickly if the club qualify for the Europa League.

The Hammers could seal a place in the second tier of European football via the Fair Play table as they are currently second place and Liverpool, who top the standings, are likely to qualify via their Premier League position.

Allardyce's future remains uncertain amid reports that Besiktas boss Slaven Bilic is open to holding talks with the club should the position become vacant.

When asked about his future, Allardyce told reporters: "At the end of this season, we will sit down and we negotiate, but if we are in Europe, then we have to be quick about the negotiations.

"Once we have had those negotiations, then we need to move forward as we quickly as we possibly can. If we are in that, then our first game is on July 2 and there is a lot of finalising to be done regarding pre-season."

West Ham will play Everton on Saturday in their penultimate game of the season.
