Sam Allardyce manoeuvring for Oscar Cardozo capture?

Reports suggest that Sam Allardyce is looking to move players out of West Ham United in order to pave the way for Oscar Cardozo's possible arrival.

Ricardo Vaz Te, Matt Taylor and Alou Diarra are rumoured to be on the chopping block at West Ham United as manager Sam Allardyce tries to create space for Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo.

The 30-year-old has made clear his intention to leave the Portuguese team this summer, revealing that he can no longer motivate himself to play for the club.

With Andy Carroll missing the first few weeks of the season, Modibo Maiga is the only fit senior striker at Allardyce's disposal, and talkSPORT reports that he wants to add depth to his attacking options.

However, he must first make room in the wage budget to facilitate such a move for the Paraguayan international, which could mean Vaz Te, Taylor and Diarra are sacrificed.

Cardozo scored 17 league goals last season.
