West Ham United are reportedly close to signing Genk defender Kara Mbodj.
The 25-year-old has gained a number of admirers for his impressive performances in the Belgian top flight.
He has recently been playing for Senegal in their Africa Cup of Nations campaign, and scored during a 1-1 draw against South Africa.
According to Goal.com, the Hammers have seen a number of bids for other defensive targets fall through, but they are confident of landing Mbodj before the transfer deadline.
Mbodji made his debut for Senegal in 2011 and has won 15 caps for his country.
