Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that Newcastle United will pose his side a dangerous threat when they meet on Monday night.
The Latics travel to St James' Park to face a team who have lost their last four Premier League matches in a row.
"We need to be aware of Newcastle's quality," Martinez told the club's official website. "It hasn't been an easy run for Newcastle in terms of results which makes it a very dangerous time to play them.
"We will give them and their team a lot of respect when we go to St James' Park, as you have to."
Martinez recently revealed that he is looking to bring in "two or three" new players to the DW Stadium during the January transfer window.
