Wolverhampton Wanderers confirm deals for Benik Afobe, Willy Boly

Wolverhampton Wanderers take up options to sign Benik Afobe and Willy Boly on permanent deals.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that they have triggered options to sign both Benik Afobe and Willy Boly on permanent deals.

Afobe, 25, rejoined the Midlands outfit on loan from Bournemouth in January and scored six goals in the second half of the campaign to help the side cruise to the Championship title.

Wolves are understood to have paid £10m to sign Afobe - the same amount he left for when the Cherries snapped him up two-and-a-half years ago.

French defender Boly, meanwhile, earned plaudits for his season on loan at Wolves and was named in the PFA Championship team of the year for his efforts, which included contributing three goals.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side are thought to have paid a fee of £10m to seal Boly's permanent switch from Porto.

The club have also reaffirmed that they have activated a clause to sign Diogo Jota on a permanent deal - thought to be worth £13m - from Atletico Madrid despite the striker's recent suggestions that he was uncertain over his future.

Wolves are yet to announce official decisions on deals for remaining loan stars Leo Bonatini, Ruben Vinagre and Alfred N'Diaye.
