Gareth Ainsworth reveals Kortney Hause interest

Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth says that Kortney Hause is attracting interest from the Premier League.

Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth has claimed that there has been Premier League interest in highly-rated defender Kortney Hause.

The 18-year-old, who has been strongly linked with a move to Everton, is widely regarded as one of the best prospects in the Football League.

"There's reports in every paper about Kortney and it's been on Sky. I wouldn't believe everything you read, but there's interest in the Premier League for Kortney Hause," he told the Bucks Free Press.

"But why wouldn't there be? He's an outstanding prospect. I believe he'll play higher one day and I believe he's got the quality to play in the Premier League. It's flattering, and it's great for us for one of our players to be linked there, so he's one of the ones who I talk about keeping hold of.

"If one does go out, be it Kortney or whoever, it's up to me to replace those and get the next ones through the door at the moment I'm happy that my phone's not ringing."

Hause came through West Ham United's youth academy, but moved to Wycombe in 2012.
