Seventh seed Tomas Berdych has made it through to the last 16 of the French Open with a hard-fought five-set victory over Kevin Anderson.
The match had looked to be going with form in the first set, as Berdych held serve comfortably and converted his solitary break point to take the opener 6-4.
However, Anderson fought back and over-powered the Czech - with 22 aces to Berdych's 10 - to claim sets two and three.
As the match went on, the superior fitness of Berdych became apparent and the Czech eventually progressed 6-4 3-6 6-7 6-4 6-4.
Berdych will now face either Juan Martin del Potro or Marin Cilic in round four.
