Andy Murray has booked his spot in round three of the Monte Carlo Masters following a 6-1 6-4 victory over Edouard Roger-Vasselin on Wednesday.
The Scot made light work of his French opponent in the first set as he breezed into a 4-0 lead with two consecutive breaks.
Roger-Vasselin did secure a break of his own, but Murray broke once more moments later before serving his way to the first set.
The Frenchman provided much sterner opposition in the second set, but a break of serve at 1-1 allowed Murray to take charge of the match, eventually serving it out to secure the second 6-4.
