Judy Murray hails Elena Baltacha

Retiring Elena Baltacha receives high praise from Great Britain's Fed Cup captain Judy Murray.

Great Britain's Fed Cup captain Judy Murray has described Elena Baltacha as a "great role model".

The 30-year-old announced her retirement earlier today, having turned professional back in 1997.

"Elena Baltacha. Superstar on and off the court. Great pro. Great role model. Great girl. Missing u already," Murray wrote on the social networking site Twitter.

Ipswich-born Baltacha won 11 ITF titles during her career.
