British number two Anne Keothavong says that she enjoyed teaming up with long-term rival Elen Baltacha in the women's Olympic doubles at Wimbledon today.

British number two Anne Keothavong has insisted that she enjoyed competing alongside Elen Baltacha despite the pair's first round exit.

Keothavong and Baltacha, who are both 28 years old, lost in straight sets to Julia Goerges and Anna-Lena Gronefeld of Germany earlier today.

"It's a shame that we had to go out so early but it was good fun playing doubles with Bally," said Keothavong.

"I played a great singles match here and the sport has been incredible. It was our first Olympics and probably last, so we were just having a moment to ourselves there at the end.

"Bally and I have known each other since we were 10 years old, we have had a good rivalry over the years and to be on the court together is good."

Keothavong exited the singles competition against Caroline Wozniacki on Saturday.
