British duo Anne Keothavong and Elena Baltacha have been beaten in the first round of the women's doubles by Germany's Julia Goerges and Anna-Lena Gronefeld.
The home pairing were outplayed for most of the match as they went down 6-3 6-1 at the All England Club.
Goerges and Gronefeld will now meet Russia's Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina for a place in the quarter-finals.
The defeat capped a bad day for Baltacha, who was knocked out of the singles competition earlier by Serbian 11th seed Ana Ivanovic.
