Former British number one Elena Baltacha has refused to commit to next year's Wimbledon after crashing out to Petra Kvitova yesterday.
A double bagel was on the cards for Baltacha against Kvitova before she rallied in the second set, losing 6-0 6-4.
However, Baltacha would not be drawn on her future. "Last year I said I was going to retire after the Olympics, but I think I'm going to take it on a week-by-week basis," The Express quotes her as saying. "If I still really enjoy it, if I still believe I'm improving and I still love it, then I'll carry on.
"The last time I got bagelled was when I was 11 or 12. That wasn't a nice feeling. I didn't want that to happen again. She is a very classy player. She will retain her title if she plays like that."
Baltacha has struggled with injuries recently, which has prompted questions over her future.
