Preview: Bayern Munich vs. Freiburg

Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and Freiburg at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern Munich will attempt to make it seven Bundesliga wins in a row when the German champions welcome draw-specialists Freiburg to the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening.

Bayern's 4-0 win over Augsburg on Saturday moved Pep Guardiola's side nine points clear at the top of the table, while they have incredibly not conceded a single goal in their last five games in the league.

In total, Bayern have conceded just three times in their 15 league games this season - scoring 37 times in the process.

Freiburg, meanwhile, will enter the match off the back of a 0-0 draw with Hamburger SV at the weekend. That result meant that Freiburg have now drawn eight of their 15 league games this season, with a total of 14 points leaving them in 12th position.

In terms of the recent meetings between the two teams, Bayern have won four of the last five matches, with the further clash ending in a draw. Bayern won 4-0 in the corresponding fixture last term, but drew 1-1 at Freiburg towards the start of the campaign.

Bayern will still be without the services of Philipp Lahm, David Alaba, Thiago and Javi Martinez, but Guardiola has no new fresh injury concerns from the win over Augsburg.

Mario Gotze and Thomas Muller are both pushing for returns to the XI, but Dante and Xherdan Shaqiri could miss out once more.

The visitors, meanwhile, could stick with the same team that drew with Hamburger SV at the weekend after receiving a clean bill of health, but Dani Schahin is pushing for a start.
