Preview: Blackburn Rovers vs. Charlton Athletic

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship meeting between Blackburn Rovers and Charlton Athletic at Ewood Park.

Blackburn Rovers will be looking to close the gap on the Championship's top six when they host Charlton Athletic on Saturday.

Gary Bowyer's side currently sit ninth in the table, after winning two of their last three matches. However, they lost at local rivals Wigan Athletic before the international break.

Charlton will be looking for three points for very different reasons, as they seek to move clear of the relegation zone.

Chris Powell's men sit a point outside the bottom three after failing to win any of their last six matches, losing three and drawing three.

Blackburn defender Grant Hanley will miss the match after his red card against Wigan, so Matt Kilgallon is expected to come into the side.

Charlton boss Powell has no new injury concerns and could name the same side that held Blackpool to a goalless draw last time out.
