Half-Time Report: Brett Pitman gives Bournemouth half-time lead

A Brett Pitman strike gives Bournemouth a 1-0 lead over Doncaster Rovers at half time at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Bournemouth have a 1-0 lead at half time in their game at Doncaster Rovers this afternoon thanks to a goal from Brett Pitman.

The visitors made a bright start, with Elliott Ward and Harry Arter taking shots inside the opening 10 minutes, but they both missed the target.

Pitman scored his first goal on the season in the 31st minute as Charlie Daniels crossed the ball in from a free kick, setting Pitman up for a simple smash into the net from close range.

Paul Keegan almost got the home side back on level terms straight away, but his shot went just over.

Pitman continued to look a threat for Eddie Howe's side as the half went on, as the visitors pushed for a second goal, but were unable to find one before the half-time whistle.
