Granada hit with Piti blow

Granada forward Piti faces a three-week spell on the sidelines with a thigh problem.

Granada will be without experienced forward Piti for the next three weeks after he picked up a thigh injury in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Athletic Bilbao.

The 33-year-old, who has been key for the Spanish club in recent weeks, had to complete the Bilbao clash after head coach Abel Resino made all three changes, but his discomfort at the final whistle demonstrated that there was a problem.

The Spaniard underwent further tests earlier on Tuesday, and Granada have revealed that the player will be out of action "for around three weeks".

Granada have picked up just 19 points from their 23 league games this season, with that run of form leaving them in 18th spot and now four points from safety.
