Liverpool injury, suspension news and return dates for Everton clash: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez latest

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park.

Liverpool go to Goodison Park for a Merseyside derby against Everton for the final time on Wednesday night in the 245th iteration of the fixture.

After visiting the Grand Old Lady for over a century, this will be last occasion Liverpool will make their way across Stanley Park to face their local rivals, and they do so on the back of a shock FA Cup defeat to Plymouth Argyle on Sunday.

Arne Slot's men remain six points clear at the top of the Premier League though, and with this being a game in hand, they can extend that gap over Arsenal to nine here.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the Reds' latest injury and suspension news ahead of the derby against Everton, who also crashed out of the FA Cup at the weekend, but have won three in a row in the Premier League.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 12 (vs. Everton)

After being forced off against Bournemouth just over a week ago, Alexander-Arnold has missed both games since, and comments from Slot before their trip to Plymouth seemed to suggest it is unlikely he will return in time for the derby.

Joe Gomez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Gomez only returned for his first appearance of 2025 in the cup tie at Plymouth on Sunday, but the defender lasted just 10 minutes before being forced off with what appeared to be another hamstring injury.

LIVERPOOL SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no suspended players for this match.
