Malaga boss Bernd Schuster could reportedly face a long touchline ban following an ill-tempered affair with Sevilla at the weekend.

Malaga boss Bernd Schuster could reportedly face a long touchline ban for his conduct during his side's 3-2 win over Sevilla at the weekend.

The German was dismissed by the referee in the latter stages of the ill-tempered affair, but the referee's official report has also noted Schuster's conduct after being sent off from the sidelines.

"In the 46th minute, the manager Bernd Schuster was yellow-carded for the following reason: Arguing with an opposing player, but without arriving at insult or threat, whilst the game was stopped," read the report.

"In the 89th minute, the manager Bernd Schuster was yellow-carded for the following reason: Arguing with an opposing player, but without arriving at insult or threat, whilst the game was stopped.

"In the 89th minute, the manager Bernd Schuster was dismissed from the touchline for the following reason: Double yellow cards.

"Once Bernd Schuster, the manager of the home team was dismissed from the touchline, he entered the pitch to offer observations and refused to leave it, having to be restrained by a stadium delegate, a team official and other employees of the club."

Nine yellow cards were awarded during the derby.
