Report: Monaco preparing to announce Victor Valdes

A report claims that Monaco will announce the signing of Victor Valdes from Barcelona 'imminently'.

Monaco are expected to announce the signing of Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes over the next few days.

The Spanish international will leave the Camp Nou on a free transfer in the summer, but he is unlikely to play again until October after suffering a serious knee injury in March.

It is understood that the shot-stopper's injury has not cooled Monaco's interest and, according to L'Equipe, an announcement is 'imminent' regarding the 32-year-old's future.

Manchester City had also been linked with a move, but it is understood that the player is set on a move to Ligue 1.
