Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has admitted that he was surprised by the ovation he received from Real Madrid fans during Wednesday's Champions League encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 39-year-old was applauded by rival fans when he came on as a second-half substitute in the 1-1 draw.
"It took me by surprise," Giggs told reporters. "It was obviously very good - I'll have to play here more often!"
Danny Welbeck gave United the lead in Spain before Cristiano Ronaldo equalised in the first leg of their last-16 tie.
