Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin has confirmed that he has undergone surgery on the ACL injury he suffered against Elfsborg in the Europa League.
The Romania international awkwardly jarred his knee after an attempted clearance in that 3-0 victory on January 30, and it was soon revealed that he had done serious damage.
Tottenham quickly confirmed that Dragusin had sustained a devastating ACL problem, which would rule him out for the rest of the 2024-25 season and also require an operation.
Posting from his hospital bed on Tuesday afternoon, the former Juventus defender confirmed that the procedure had gone "perfectly" as he shared an image of himself flexing his arms after his operation.
"This morning, I successfully got through the surgery, which went perfectly. I am grateful to the entire medical team for their care and professionalism," Dragusin wrote.

"At the same time, I am thankful for all the messages of encouragement and your continuous support. It's wonderful to feel this kind of support. I will do everything I can to ensure a smooth recovery and come back stronger as soon as possible 🐉🤍"
Both the official Tottenham account and teammate Archie Gray left identical comments underneath Dragusin's update, posting a flexed arm emoji followed by a white heart emoji in a show of solidarity with the centre-back.
Dragusin initially struggled for Premier League starts under Ange Postecoglou after arriving from Genoa midway through the 2023-24 season, but his availability had been crucial to Tottenham during their winter injury crisis.
The 23-year-old has featured on 28 occasions for the Lilywhites across all competitions this season, starting 14 matches in the Premier League and also helping Spurs reach the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.

As Dragusin begins his long road to recovery after surgery, Tottenham's debilitating injury crisis is expected to ease over the next few days, where under-pressure manager Postecoglou could apparently receive no fewer than five boosts.
Destiny Udogie is understood to be on track to return for Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester United, and according to the Evening Standard, four other players hope to be back in full training at some point this week.
Guglielmo Vicario (ankle), Brennan Johnson (calf), Timo Werner (hamstring) and James Maddison (calf) are reportedly all pushing to rejoin their teammates in the coming days, potentially also putting them in contention to face the Red Devils.
However, Dominic Solanke (knee), Richarlison (calf), Wilson Odobert (hamstring) and Cristian Romero (thigh) remain sidelined, while Micky van de Ven made his first appearance since December against Elfsborg but has not featured since.
Tottenham lie in a lowly 14th place in the Premier League table at the time of writing, but they could be bumped down to 15th if Everton defeat Liverpool in Wednesday's Merseyside derby.
