Valencia picked up their first victory of the season in La Liga with a 2-1 home defeat of Celta de Vigo on Saturday.
Los Che went ahead as early as the fourth minute when Jonathan Viera released Sofiane Feghouli following a quick counter-attack, and he shot home from close range.
However, that lead did not last long as Michael Krohn-Dehli equalised for Celta in the 16th minute.
Valencia, though, regained their one-goal advantage five minutes after the half-time interval when Aly Cissokho headed home Tino Costa's delivery.
Both sides had chances during the rest of the second 45 minutes but neither could add to their tally, as Valencia went on to win 2-1 at Mestalla.
