Francis Jeffers has signed a short-term deal with League Two club Accrington Stanley until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old striker had been out of work since October following his departure from Maltese side Floriana.
"We're delighted to have a player of Franny's quality on board," Accrington boss Leam Richardson told the club's official website.
"To have someone with his CV here is a massive boost for the club and I think it will give everyone a lift."
Jeffers is best known for starting his career at Everton before an £8m move to Arsenal in 2001.
