Jack Wilshere to miss two months?

Jack Wilshere is reportedly ruled out for two months with an ankle injury to rock Arsenal's preparations ahead of the new season.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been ruled out for up to eight weeks following his latest setback in a series of ankle injuries, according to reports.

The 23-year-old took no part in last weekend's Community Shield win over Chelsea, but manager Arsene Wenger expected him to face West Ham United on Sunday.

Having then been expected to miss three weeks, the England international could now sit out the first two months of the season due to a hairline fracture, according to talkSPORT.

However, the report goes on to state that the Gunners are confident that their academy product will not need surgery.

Wilshere was restricted to just nine Premier League starts due to an ankle problem last season.
