Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain says that Arsenal are primed to end their trophy drought this season.

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has insisted that his side can win trophies this season.

Arsene Wenger has signed Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla already in an effort to try to end his side's seven-year trophy drought.

Despite losing Robin van Persie and Alex Song to Manchester United and Barcelona respectively, the 19-year-old is confident that the North Londoners can bring some silverware to the Emirates this year.

"At Arsenal Football Club we always step on to the pitch to win every game and we're definitely looking to win the title," he told talkSPORT. "We're looking to win everything we enter into.

"I think we've got a real strong squad this year but more importantly the team spirit is there and the boss has got the boys pulling together.

"The addition of Steve Bould to the coaching staff is helping us out defensively a lot all over the park, not just the back four. I believe we can do good things this year."

Arsenal travel to the Britannia Stadium to face Stoke City on Sunday.
