Carlos Vela open to Arsenal return

Carlos Vela refuses to rule out a move to Arsenal, saying that he will do whatever makes him happy.

Former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has refused to rule out a move back to the club, insisting that he is simply focused on 'being happy'.

The 25-year-old, who spent six years in North London, joined La Liga side Real Sociedad for a fee of £4m in 2012.

Since making the move to Spain, Vela has scored a total of 30 goals in all competitions, which has led to reported interest from Arsenal who are said to have a buy-back clause in the player's contract.

"If I have to return, I will do things in a different way," Vela is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "What happened in the past will not be repeated.

"We will try and reach an agreement in which we all win - Real, Arsenal and me. We must see what can be done. We will decide what will be my future, it is all about finding the best way to be happy."

Vela will not feature for Mexico at this summer's World Cup due to an ongoing dispute.
