Queens Park Rangers looking to loan Aston Villa defender Tommy Elphick?

Queens Park Rangers have reportedly identified Aston Villa defender Tommy Elphick as a possible loan signing.

The London outfit have endured a poor start to the Championship, with just one win being recorded and as many as 13 goals being conceded in five games at the second tier.

Steve McClaren's side have won their last two fixtures in all competitions, but according to Sky Sports News, a desire remains to bring in a new centre-back.

The report claims that QPR are looking to bring in the experienced Elphick, who has featured just twice since the start of the season.

Villa are likely to be willing to get the 30-year-old off the wage bill, but QPR may only be able to pay a portion of what the player earns at the West Midlands outfit.

Le Havre centre-back Harold Moukoudi has been linked with a move to Villa Park, which could potentially improve QPR's chances of a successful bid for Elphick.
