Championship outfit Barnsley have offered a trial to former Reading and Hereford Town striker Mathieu Manset.
The 23-year-old, who departed Swiss outfit FC Sion earlier this month, will spend a week with the club in a bid to secure a long-term contract.
"He's trained with us, but he looked a little bit rusty. He's not ready now, which we expected but hopefully it won't take him long to catch up with the intensity," Barnsley manager David Flitcroft told The Star.
A number of lower league clubs are reportedly monitoring the Frenchman's progress.
