Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has said that the club have made no contact with Arsene Wenger
Niko Kovac was appointed as the new Bayern boss during the summer, but the Bundesliga champions find themselves nine points off the pace in the standings.
That has resulted in former Arsenal manager Wenger being suggested as a possible replacement for the Croatian, but Salihamidzic has dismissed the speculation.
The 41-year-old told Sky Germany: "There was 100% no contact with Arsene Wenger. We will travel to Bremen with Niko Kovac as our manager and we will win.
"We have often failed to hold such a focused performance for the whole 90 minutes, but we have done really well [against Benfica] and we can now build on that.
"The way the team took responsibility made me happy, and also how Bayern Munich played, but I am also happy for the coach and the club."
Wenger would allegedly prefer to take on a boardroom role at the start of 2019.
