Brighton & Hove Albion and Peterborough United go into the break goalless at The AMEX.

Brighton & Hove Albion and Peterborough United went into the break goalless in a tight Championship encounter at The AMEX this evening.

Darren Ferguson's side could have taken an early lead through Grant McCann, but his 15th-minute strike was well off target.

An opportunity fell to Andrew Crofts at the other end moments later, only for the midfielder to sky his effort.

Brighton could have broken the deadlock in the 22nd minute through Craig Mackail-Smith. The striker got up high in the box but directed his head straight at Posh keeper Robert Olejnik.

There were half-chances for both sides ahead of the half-time whistle, though neither was clinical enough to take them.
