A classy Oscar strike and a Frank Lampard penalty kick late in the first half give Chelsea a comfortable lead over Swansea City at Stamford Bridge.

Two goals in the final three minutes of the first half have put Chelsea in firm control of their Premier League encounter with Swansea City at Stamford Bridge.

Oscar broke the deadlock with a low 18-yard strike following a neat interchange between John Terry and Frank Lampard, who then doubled the lead with a penalty moments later.

Lampard's spot kick, which was awarded for a Leon Britton foul on Juan Mata, was converted emphatically and it took his Chelsea goal tally to 201 - just one behind Bobby Tambling's club record.

Swansea had frustrated the hosts for much of the opening period, though.

Long-range efforts from Demba Ba, Eden Hazard and Lampard, all of which were well saved by Michel Vorm, were as close as the Blues came in the opening 40 minutes.

However, Gary Cahill then headed just over from a Mata corner, before Rafael Benitez's men struck with a devastating quickfire double.
