Didier Drogba made his Chinese Super League debut as Shanghai Shenhua drew 1-1 with fourth-placed Guangzhou yesterday.
The 34-year-old, who made the move to Asia from Chelsea last month, appeared as a second-half substitute with his side trailing 1-0.
After almost scoring with his first touch from an ambitious free kick, Drogba provided the through ball from which Cao Yunding scored the equaliser.
Shenhua have won four times in 17 games so far this season.
