Harry Redknapp: Kickoff time does not matter

Harry Redknapp claims that Chelsea caretaker manager Roberto Di Matteo should not be worried about the FA Cup semi-final kickoff time.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has dismissed Chelsea caretaker manager Roberto Di Matteo's concerns over the kickoff time of Sunday's FA Cup semi-final.

Di Matteo recently expressed his disappointment at the 6pm start ahead of his side's Champions League semi-final with Barcelona.

However, Redknapp claims that Di Matteo should not worry about his side's schedule ahead of the meeting of the two sides.

Redknapp said: "I wouldn't think it would make a huge difference. You're still going to get a night's rest. It's a strange time but the TV decide now, it's all about the money."

The former Portsmouth boss also revealed that he is expecting a tough test when his side face their London rivals at Wembley.

"They'll have a go, they have got a strong squad so they can rotate. They will be strong whoever they play," Redknapp added.

Liverpool face Everton in the first of this weekend's FA Cup semi-finals.
