Atletico Madrid have denied speculation suggesting that they would be prepared to swap striker Radamel Falcao for Chelsea forward Fernando Torres.
Despite his recent upturn in form, Torres's Chelsea future is still in doubt and the Spaniard has been linked with a return to the club with which he started his career.
Falcao has been on the Blues' transfer radar since his former boss Andre Villas-Boas took charge at Stamford Bridge, but Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has dismissed any rumours of a possible swap deal.
"An exchange with Chelsea for Torres? That is not true. Those rumours have been invented for the papers," he told Colombian radio station Caracol.
"We have not received any concrete offers for Falcao. Now is the time for the rumours but if a bid arrives then it is normal to study any proposition.
"Falcao has four years left on his Atletico contract and we are calm."
Colombian striker Falcao netted twice in Madrid's Europa League final triumph over Athletic Bilbao.
