Roma 'enquire about Chelsea's Fernando Torres'

Roma are reportedly ready to offer Mattia Destro in a part-exchange deal for Chelsea's Fernando Torres.

Roma are allegedly keen to sign Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.

The Serie A side have enquired about the Spaniard's availability and are willing to offer Mattia Destro in a part-exchange deal, the Daily Mail reports.

Torres is expected to find first-team football hard to come by at Chelsea, following the summer recruitment of strikers Diego Costa and Didier Drogba.

The forward could link up with his former Blues teammate Ashley Cole at Roma, with the defender having joined the Serie A outfit earlier this summer.
