Dundee United have announced the signing of 18-year-old striker Robbie Muirhead from Kilmarnock.
The teenager, who has scored twice in 22 games for Killie, has admitted that the move to Tannadice came as a shock, but the forward is excited by the opportunity to turn out for United.
He told the club's official website: "It has all happened very quickly but once I knew United were in for me, I couldn't wait to get up here and sign. I enjoyed my time at Kilmarnock immensely but this is progress for my career.
"The opportunity to play in my preferred position was a major factor in coming to Tannadice. I know what I can achieve here and I have watched others come here and excel.
"The manager has faith in players of all age as long as they are good enough. This is the perfect club to develop at and I look forward to being a United player."
United also moved to bring Paul Dixon back to the Tayside club after his contract with Huddersfield Town was terminated.
