Luke Shaw: 'Adam Lallana nailed on for England World Cup place'

Luke Shaw believes that Southampton teammate Adam Lallana is "nailed on" for a place in Roy Hodgson's England World Cup squad.

Southampton left-back Luke Shaw believes that teammate Adam Lallana is "nailed on" for a place in England's World Cup squad.

The 25-year-old received plenty of plaudits for his second-half performance in the Three Lions' 1-0 win over Denmark at Wembley on Wednesday night.

Along with Lallana, Shaw is vying for a spot on the plane to Brazil this summer after making his senior debut in the friendly this week.

"I think Adam is nailed on for Brazil with the way he's been performing for his club and now his country," Shaw told Southampton's official YouTube channel. "We know what talent Adam has, and yesterday he proved it to the world."

With regards to club form, the Saints are currently ninth in the Premier League table.
