Team News: Eight changes for Everton

Roberto Martinez makes eight changes to Everton's starting lineup for their League Cup match against Norwich City.

Roberto Martinez has made eight changes to Everton's starting lineup for their League Cup match against Norwich City at Goodison Park.

John Stones, James McCarthy and Romelu Lukaku are the three players keeping their places following the defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League at the weekend.

Leon Osman comes in and takes the captain's armband in place of the injured Phil Jagielka, while Arouna Kone partners Lukaku up front, leaving Aaron Lennon and Ross Barkley to start on the bench.

Alex Neil has also made a string of changes, with seven alterations to his starting lineup following the 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

John Ruddy gets a break from keeping duties, making way for Declan Rudd between the posts, while Lewis Grabban leads the attack after more than a month out of the side.

Everton: Robles; Oviedo, Funes Mori, Stones, Gibson; Browning, McCarthy, Mirallas, Osman; Kone, Lukaku
Subs: Howard, McGeady, Lennon, Naismith, Deulofeu, Barkley, Galloway

Norwich City: Rudd; Wisdom, Bennett, Bassong, Olsson; Redmond, Mulumbu, O'Neil, Odjidja, Hoolahan; Grabban
