Preview: Fiorentina vs. Inter Milan

Sports Mole previews Fiorentina's home clash with Inter Milan on Saturday.

Inter Milan will have the chance to close the eight-point gap to fourth-place Fiorentina in the Serie A table when they travel to Florence on Saturday.

Viola's form has been a little inconsistent in recent weeks, with three wins and a defeat in their last six leaving them three points behind third-placed Napoli.

Fiorentina managed a solid 2-0 win over Udinese in the Coppa Italia, which will have given them some motivation for this important home clash.

Inter simply must start to improve if they are to stand a chance of usurping Fiorentina. They responded from five games without a victory to beat Sassuolo in their last game, but they need to start scoring more goals.

Giuseppe Rossi remains a long-term absentee for Fiorentina, but Vincenzo Montella has no fresh concerns ahead of the clash.

For Inter, Ricardo Alvarez, Christian Chivu and Esteban Cambiasso are out through injury so Gabriel Milito and Rolando are likely to continue in the XI.

Sports Mole says: 1-1
