Steve Bruce focused on Hull City survival

Steve Bruce says that his Hull team must forget about their FA Cup heroics for the time being and focus on winning their Premier League relegation battle.

Steve Bruce believes that his Hull City team must forget about their FA Cup heroics and focus on winning their Premier League relegation battle.

City coasted to a 3-0 victory over Sunderland at the KC Stadium on Sunday to book a semi-final clash with Sheffield United in England's premier cup competition.

However, the Tigers sit just five points above the drop zone in the league table and Bruce says that he is not looking beyond the challenge of Manchester City on Saturday.

"I still think we've got to win a couple more games," Bruce told Sky Sports News. "We're a newly promoted club and we've made huge strides very quickly but there is still work to do and it carries on.

"We have to get ready to play Manchester City at home. But that's the Premier League - we have to address that and make sure we stay here and get better and better."

Saturday's clash in Hull is scheduled to kick off at 12.45pm.
