Lazio captain Lucas Biglia has said that his team showed their character to come from behind and beat Hellas Verona this afternoon.
The Rome outfit had trailed to a first-half goal from Filip Helander, but a penalty from Biglia after the break and a late free kick from Marco Parolo saw them win their first away match of the season.
"In spite of the initial disadvantage, we earned this victory," he told Mediaset Premium. "We're working well, we were criticised a bit in recent times, but our group is strong and united.
"In the second half the character of the team truly showed. We're happy about the three points but now we must continue on this path.
"Our objective is to end the season as high up as possible, though we know it won't be easy to qualify for the Champions League."
Lazio are currently fifth in the Serie A table, three points behind league leaders Inter Milan.
