Liverpool confirm that Jose Enrique suffered a tear of his hamstring during Sunday's 3-0 win at Queens Park Rangers.

Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe has confirmed that Jose Enrique suffered a tear of his hamstring during Sunday's win at Queens Park Rangers.

The Spaniard was forced off in the second half at Loftus Road as the Reds cruised to a 3-0 victory in their Premier League encounter.

"Unfortunately it looks like he's got a tear in his hamstring," Pascoe told the club's official website.

"He was terrific today, absolutely superb, and the way he's been performing these last couple of months has been a joy to watch.

"It's a shame and hopefully he's not out for too long."

Enrique has featured 17 times in all competitions for Liverpool this season.
